St. Pat’s Day is ten days past, but I’m only Scotch-Irish, so let’s blame Scots’ legendary stinginess for delaying my share :
Limerick generation is one of my gifts
I admire the rhyme and they’re swift
I dinna have to stand on me head
or spend time in me bed

So, there once was a woman, long of nose.
With a maid to carry it wherever she goes
One could measure her lies
By the length of the maid’s strides
And be forewarned of her backstabbing woes.

There once was a woman named Jewels
Who felt herself Queen to make all the rules
We regarded her as least
And ignored her narcissist feast
The better to not be her fools.
(look! – hahaha – no more Crown Jewels!)

Feeling lucky, feeling brave, Constant Reader? Give me your name in the Comments, and I’ll write a limerick for you. Lickety-split!
Now don’t be persnickety or have a fit. It’ll be fun, I promise: Gimme one 😉
I’d come up with one in reply,

I should have more faith in my prose,
As Yoda says, “there is no try.”
Yeah, Lassie! And thanks for using your talents to help Alex become VP!
