I’m a nice girl, everything sugar and spice girl… What about you?

Is bling your thing, your reward or your promise for being alive? To what commitments to health and happiness do you adhere? What habits do you embrace and/or long for?

While I, like any woman I know, like the sparkle and glitz of diamond jewelry, I don’t covet such like most. Diamonds may be some girls’ best friends, but I have another array: turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon.

I bet my life on them.

I’ll remind you of something you know, Constant Reader: health is better than wealth. Nearly fifteen years ago I contracted a cancer for which there was no armament post-treatment, no medical means to prevent recurrence. Since recurrence was statistically likely, good health became the rite of my life.

Of course, there was Hope, the keystone of Christian faith. I had that in buckets, droves, and hectares. I had/have a handsome husband who has all that and more. When the Beatles sang/advised, “All You Need is Love”, I envisioned him. I could and can always rely on him.

But, he traveled far afield on business, so I needed a daily army of more. Something I could do, for accomplishment-prone, I am. I sought some soldiers I could ingest – and found them on the Internet. ‘Google is great’ as mantra, I confess.

And thus, each morning, I scoop-a-doop Ginger, Turmeric, and Cinnamon. Flax meal, hemp protein, vanilla yogurt, and Chia seeds. Swirled with cranberry juice. Yum!

And, every afternoon I imbibe Lycopene, Nature’s mighty cancer fighter.

My husband began his garden to cultivate his commitment to our ‘happily ever after’… It’s truth that All You Need is Love!

Look closely at my vanguard. Do you see the heart shape that tomatoes make?
