Larry and I are decidedly conversational, yet our styles differ as much as Venus and Mars:

Laconic vs. Loquacious = Larry and Me.

He’s not exactly terse, but he is economical in his verbiage. He says what he means, precise as a knife – or a big stick. He has the natural grace of leadership, a confidence that comes with being tall and competitive in sports as a youth. He knows he’s a winner. He makes his bullets count.

I would never be accused of being terse, though I often remain silent when things are tense. I’m in love with vocabulary, words that abound in my head because I’ve been a reader. I’m in love with language, especially the cadence and sound of syllables, so I save words. A word nerd, if you please. I’m verbal, ready to engage – propelled by smiley, open personality and a history of frequent moves as a youth.

Conversation characteristics of me and he = ready to be friends with thee.

Engaging others with compassionate interest is an ethic for each, though our styles differ. For each, listening is a forte. We crack jokes, poke fun, and have a delightfully fine time. Interactively gleeful, taking little seriously, and ignoring things with evoke ire. Laughter is the best relationship glue, as well as the best medicine…

There’s a home for sale in our neighborhood:

“Won’t you be my neighbor?”
